Advanced Flavors

What do we consider an advanced flavor?

Tanks, atomizers, or clearomizers are all made out of different materials. Some are made out of glass or metal. Most are made out of some sort of plastic. Some manufacturers use a poly-propylene (PP) plastic. Others use a poly-carbonate plastic. Poly-propylene plastic is chemically different from poly-carbonate plastic. Poly-carbonate plastic is very durable and scratch resistant. It is also clearer than poly-propylene plastics. Many people prefer poly-carbonate because it is more transparent; it is easier to see your e-juice level. But, poly-carbonate tanks are far from perfect. One of the main ingredients in poly-carbonate plastic tanks is Bisphenol-A. If you are someone who strays away from BPA plastics, we recommend that you use a poly-propylene plastic, glass, or metal tank.

Ketones are the main reason certain flavors crack poly-carbonate tanks and others don't All flavors contain ketones. So in theory, any flavor can crack a poly-carbonate tank. Some flavors have a higher concentration of ketones which is why they do in fact crack tanks. We test every flavor before we release it to see if it will crack a poly-carbonate tank. If it does, it is on our Advanced Flavor list. The flavors that are not on this list, are safe for poly-carbonate tanks.
